Paying maintenance in GOMINING or in dollars
Same machine, same hashrate. The only thing that changes is how you pay the maintenance bill.
Paying in dollars
Paying in GOMINING token better
24-month projection
Nobody knows what BTC will do. What is predictable is that difficulty climbs and the halving arrives. Both are baked into this curve.
If you are going to open an account, get something for it
This code gets you +5% extra hashrate on your first miner purchase (up to 25 TH) and one month of VIP Platinum+ free. There is also an extra reward for card spending volume in your first 90 days; GoMining sets the amount, so check it in the app.
Three steps, and the order matters. The bonus only activates if the code is registered before your first purchase:
GoMining's conditions: the account has to be new (under 30 days old), must not have bought a miner yet, and must not already be linked to another referrer. You have 30 days from sign-up to activate the bonus, and secondary-market purchases do not count.
This is a referral link: if you use it, whoever maintains this calculator gets a commission from GoMining, at no extra cost to you.
How profitability is calculated at GoMining
GoMining sells tokenised mining power: you buy a digital miner with a given amount of TH and an efficiency in W/TH, and you get paid in bitcoin every day. From that gross income the platform deducts maintenance, which is two separate things that are worth not confusing.
The first is electricity, which comes from multiplying the kWh price by your machine's real consumption: $/kWh × 24 ÷ 1000 × W/TH × TH. The second is the service fee, fixed at 0.0089 $ per TH per day, which covers physical maintenance of the hardware in the data centre. That is the whole cost; there are no hidden charges.
Why efficiency matters more than hashrate
A lot of people buy looking only at TH, and it is an expensive mistake. TH raises your income and your costs in the same proportion, so it does not change the margin. Efficiency, on the other hand, only affects costs: going from 20 to 12 W/TH cuts the electricity bill by 40% without touching income.
With July 2026 numbers, a 28 W/TH miner loses around $1.21 a day per 100 TH with no discounts, and even with every discount switched on it still earns nothing: it sits right on zero. A 12 W/TH one is profitable with no discounts at all. That is why GoMining now ships all its new miners at 12 W/TH and has stopped allowing upgrades above 28.
Which means the real decision when buying is not "how many TH" but which efficiency you pay for: what sets the price per TH is the W/TH, not the purchase route. We work it through with the app's real prices in how much you need to invest for $1,000 a month, which also finds the bitcoin price where the answer flips.
Maintenance discounts are not a bonus: they are half the business
Four discounts stack on top of the maintenance bill:
- GOMINING token: up to 20%, depending on how many days of fees your balance covers. 1% for every 18 days, reaching the maximum at 360 days covered.
- VIP tier: from 0.3% at Bronze II up to 6% at Elite.
- Service button: 0.3% for each consecutive day you press it, capped at 3% after ten days. Miss a day and the streak resets.
- Solo mining: a variable discount set by the weekly holder vote. It does not apply if your miner is in Miner Wars.
Added up they reach around 29%, which on a maintenance bill is the difference between breaking even in two years or in four.
The token one deserves a closer look, because it is not what it seems: to hold that 20% you have to keep a balance locked up that grows with the size of your fleet, so once you add miners plus tokens the total capital barely moves. It does not save you money: it moves it, and moves the risk with it.
What no calculator tells you
Multi-year projections usually show a beautiful straight line, and that line is a lie for two reasons. The first is that network difficulty rises: more machines arrive every month and your slice shrinks, historically between 1% and 3% monthly. The second is the halving, which every four years cuts in half the bitcoin the network issues. The next one lands around April 2028 and drops the subsidy to 1.5625 BTC per block.
This calculator applies both. That is why its curve flattens out instead of shooting up, and why its 24-month result comes out lower than other tools. It is not pessimism: it is that the others are assuming the network stands still.
On the blog we run these same numbers end to end, with the tables recalculating live and the scenario where this business loses money shown alongside the good one.
Frequently asked questions
Is GoMining profitable in 2026?
It comes down to two things: the miner's efficiency and the discounts you have active. With 100 TH at 12 W/TH and electricity at $0.05/kWh, the net is around $0.71 a day with no discounts and $1.38 with them maxed out. Bought at $18.43/TH — what it costs to create a new miner — that means breaking even in about 7 years, or under 4 with discounts maxed. A 28 W/TH miner, by contrast, loses $1.21 a day with no discounts, and with every one switched on it merely grazes zero: any drop in bitcoin puts it in the red. Figures verified on 27 July 2026, with bitcoin at $64,500 and the network at 915 EH/s; the calculator above recalculates them with current data.
What fees does GoMining charge exactly?
Two, and both are deducted daily from your reward. Electricity, between 0.05 and 0.07 $ per kWh depending on the data centre, multiplied by your miner's real consumption. And the service fee, fixed at 0.0089 $ per TH per day. There is no hidden purchase commission and no separate monthly charge: maintenance is the entire recurring cost.
How much does a 100 TH miner earn?
With 100 TH at 12 W/TH, electricity at $0.05/kWh and no discounts at all, the net is around $0.71 a day, some $21 a month. With maximum discounts it rises to about $1.38 daily, close to $42 monthly. That same miner at 20 W/TH instead of 12 would be losing $0.25 a day. Verified on 27 July 2026 with bitcoin at $64,500: those are that day's numbers, not a constant. Use the calculator above with your real numbers — it pulls live BTC price and network hashrate.
Is it worth paying maintenance with the GOMINING token?
In pure discount terms, yes: it is the biggest of the four, up to 20%. The catch is that to get it you have to keep a considerable balance locked up in tokens, and that balance is exposed to the token's ups and downs. You are trading a guaranteed discount for price risk. The comparison on this page tells you exactly how many dollars a year you save, so you can decide with the number in front of you.
What happens when the 2028 halving arrives?
The block subsidy goes from 3.125 to 1.5625 BTC, so the network issues half the bitcoin and your reward per TH drops by roughly 50% unless the price makes up for it. It is the structural risk of any mining operation. This calculator applies it automatically to any projection that crosses that date, and flags it on screen when it happens.
Where does this calculator's data come from?
BTC and token prices come from CoinGecko. Network hashrate, block height and average per-block fees come from mempool.space. Rates and discounts are taken from the official GoMining documentation and carry the date they were verified. If a source fails, the calculator tells you at the top that it is using estimated values instead of pretending everything is fine.
You have your numbers. Your call.
If it adds up for you after seeing the real costs, at least go in with the advantage: +5% TH on your first purchase (max 25 TH) and one month of VIP Platinum+. And if it does not add up, that is fine too — that is what the calculator is for.
Save the code 11jY4 — after signing up, check it under Profile → Referral program before you buy. If it is not there, the bonus does not apply.
